Mothering a child with autism isn’t a one-size-fits-all formula. Every child is different, every family unique. Yet the impact of disability is universal, affecting everything from faith, family, friends, and finances, right down to the tiniest details of everyday life. It can be overwhelming. If you’re a parent of a child with autism, you know all about it. And you’re ready for a morning of encouragement!
Join popular author and speaker Emily Colson as she shares lessons from her journey through life with her son, Max, who is now 25 years old and diagnosed with autism. The challenges have been great, yet Emily’s stories are brimming with joy. Even in the midst of the challenges, we can find the abundant life! Join us as Emily will make you laugh, let you cry, and ultimately help us all celebrate life.
If you are the mother of a child with autism you are invited to join us for the:
Mother to Mother Luncheon
Saturday April 23rd from 11 am-2:30 pm
Chambersburg First Church of God
2230 Grand Point Road
Chambersburg, PA 17202
All mothers will also enjoy a few hours of pampering, including a catered lunch served at beautifully decorated tables, great entertainment, networking with other Mom, door prizes and a free copy of Emily Colson’s book, Dancing with Max. The luncheon is free to all Moms and limited childcare is available. If you have any other option for the care of your child(ren) we encourage you to use it in order to save spaces for mothers who have no other options.
Emily will be speaking at the Sunday morning services at the Chambersburg First Church of God on April 24th. The service times are: 8:15 am, 9:45 am, and 11:15 am. You, your friends, and family are invited to join us.
